DBT+ Skills Group — Module 2: Emotion Regulation

from $20.00

Parenting can bring big emotions—for you and your child. This module focuses on understanding your own emotional responses, recognizing patterns that contribute to overwhelm, and building skills to respond with greater intention and compassion.

Through skills drawn from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), along with concepts from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and other approaches, you’ll have space to learn, reflect, and explore how emotion regulation skills can support your parenting journey.

Dates: November 11, November 18, December 2, and December 9, 2026
Time: Wednesdays, 6–7:30 p.m. Eastern
Format: Virtual
No group November 25.

Optional in-person session: December 16 for review, questions, and specific resources.

About the Group

This educational skills group welcomes parents and caregivers of neurodivergent children. Caregivers of all neurotypes are welcome.

Facilitated by Quinn Polasek, LLMSW, and Flo Friedrich, LMSW, this group offers shared learning and reflection. Although our facilitators are licensed therapists, this is not a therapy group, and individualized clinical support is outside its scope.

Some discussions may bring up difficult feelings. We encourage you to explore these with your individual therapist or contact Danny Boy Foundation about additional support options. If you’re unsure whether this group is right for you, please ask questions below.
